09:26 am I got up this morning to check my scrabble games on facebook, and was greeted with this:
It's nice to know that somebody appreciates my manboobs.
P.S. There's scrabble on facebook, and after a couple of initial defeats I'm now totally kicking everybody's arse. We should totally become facebook friends so that I can kick your arse at scrabble.
P.P.S. I've recently purchased new glasses (for ~AU$70 from 39dollarglasses.com for frames+lenses+shipping. Bargain) and I now look totally hot (manboobs withstanding).

04:33 pm - Film Festival Once again, the film festival is almost here - otherwise known as that time of the year when this journal shudders back into the land of the living.
For anybody interested, my super-magical-hyper-good film festival planner is now up and running: http://soxbox.no-ip.org/films/

10:13 am - I like it every day, Spaghetti Bolognese Bec and I want with our friend Ren to see Peter Combe last night at the corner.
It was totally six different kinds of awesome.
I don't think I've ever been in a crowd that friggin excited before (except for maybe at the Polyphonic Spree). I was surprised at how many of his songs I remembered, despite the fact that I didn't actually have any of his stuff myself - I just listened to my younger brother's albums a couple of times.
Third post for the year. Prolific.

08:49 am - Bec's Birthday In case there's peoples here that a) Bec didn't message and that b) aren't myspace nerds:
Bec is having a birthday party.
Tonight, Saturday the 12th from 5pm. Our place - 96 Stott St, Thornbury, near Thornbury Station.
Map Here
0413-452-379 if you get lost (for some reason people find our house hard to find).
Byo booze. There'll be some food (and if there's not enough, we live within walking distance of eleventy-billion pizza places, including one that does totally awesome garlic bread... man i love their garlic bread).
Everybody welcome.

02:34 pm - Blah Bah, you'd think that drug companies, what with their basic understanding of human anatomy, would remember that the tear ducts are connected via the nose to the throat and try manufacturing an eye drop that doesn't taste so bad that you want to throw up.
Stupid pinkeye.
In other news, my car got accident-ed upon last week by another driver that's disputing liability. Stupid other drivers probably making my premiums go up despite the fact that my driving doesn't suck.
In the course of trying to obtain alternative transport to work, my dad informed me that he'd recently purchased a spare car (for a household that already had two cars and no kids near driving age). There's something about driving around in daddy's spare Mercedes that makes my feel like a prick. Stupid middle class guilt.
And the comedy festival was meant to put their full program up today, but they haven't. Stupid lazy festival website runners. Also, I re-designed my comedy website (well, I don't write much content for it, but it runs on my server so 'mine' it is).
I should really be doing lots of work, as I'm totally behind, but feeling like crap all week has drained me of all motivation.

There will be some low stakes poker, some nintendo wii and some bbq (byo food). Depending on the partiness, later on a dancefloor may appear... you decide!
All welcome. Very casual - feel free to just drop in before other parties. Turn up anytime after 1pm.

06:11 pm - Pixies Hey knowledgeable peoples.
Seems those pixies are coming to Australia for the V Festival. Yet said festival is not coming to Melbourne. Anybody have any idea if the Pixies are coming to Melbourne. Or if they'll be doing sideshows in Sydney? Or is this going to be one of those dick festivals where the headliner is exclusive?

01:02 am - Take my free crap Hey! Do you like stuff?
In the process of moving house I pulled down my old stereo from the cupboard. Now, rather than putting it back up into a cupboard somewhere, I'm offering it to you, humble reader, for the low low price of nothing. It's a rather old (10? 15 years?) TEAC stereo - everything completely integrated. Single CD player, double tape player (with HIGH SPEED DUBBING... ohhhhh), also it has a turntable, which is nice.
Also, the desk I'm currently sitting at might be after a new home in the foreseeable future if I find something that better fits in this here corner.
Other than that, there may be other things uncovered as we finish up unpacking. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: Also, There's a CD rack - fits 200+ cds.
